The low turnout suggests a cautious market response, with potential applicants deterred by strict requirements and capital thresholds. BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi Fonacier emphasized that no extensions will be granted, and incomplete applications will be automatically disqualified.

šļø NPC Orders Cease-and-Desist on World Appās Orb Scanning in PH
The National Privacy Commission (NPC) has issued a ceaseāandādesist order against World Appās Orb operations in the Philippines, citing violations of the Data Privacy Act. The Orb device, used to scan usersā irises for identity verification under the Worldcoin protocol, was found to lack proper consent mechanisms and transparency.
The NPCās investigation revealed that biometric data was being collected without clear safeguards or user control. Worldcoin has been ordered to halt all Orbābased activities and submit a compliance report within 15 days.
